Hoffbrauhaus http://www.hofbraeuhaus.de/ - a 400 year old beer hall in Munich, is home to Octoberfest and I must say some damn fine beer. The kind of beer that can make even a weary traveller smile. This is what you look like after travelling through 16 time zones in 3 days. Earlier this day we flew 13.5 hours from Tokyo to Munich (by way of the arctic circle believe it or not).

I highly recommend renting a Mercedes and driving the Autobahn to Fussen to see Schloss Neushwanstein - the princess castle.
